The earliest threads of our story were meticulously woven in Amsterdam, beginning in the 1930s with Erich Schwarze, our great-grandfather. Erich established himself as a skilled tailor, developing an unwavering dedication to craftsmanship and exacting precision that would later form the very foundation of our house's ethos.

In the 1950s, after overcoming the challenges of World War II, Erich reopened his tailoring business in his home, the romantic town of roses in Forst, Germany. His exquisite craftsmanship gained recognition, attracting a discerning clientele. In this time, Erich married Irene, a visionary in women's wear design. Together, they founded the HOUSE OF SCHWARZE, an atelier that seamlessly blended Erich's masterful tailoring with Irene's haute couture sensibilities, showcasing their creations on an international stage.
